Żaneta Rydzewska
Żaneta Rydzewska is a composer, clarinettist, and improviser who received her doctorate in the arts in 2026. She studied at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Brigitta Muntendorf. Her work combines instrumental music and electronics with choreography, video, and installation, often exploring themes related to nature, philosophy, and contemporary social issues. She received the Bernd-Alois-Zimmermann Composition Prize from the City of Cologne in 2019, the ZAiKS Award for the Best Young Generation Female Composer at the 2022 Fryderyki Awards, and Best Original Score at WIFFEN 2022. In 2025, she was a winner of the Internationaler Acht Brücken Composition Competition. Her music has been performed by renowned ensembles including Ensemble Intercontemporain, Klangforum Wien, and Ensemble Modern.
